9th National Suicide and the Black Church Conference

The 9th National Suicide and the Black Church Conference is set for June 12-13, 2019 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.  The theme for this year’s Conference is “STOP—LOOK—LISTEN!”

The many guests and presenters from across the country that will facilitate workshops and plenaries for this Conference will address factors that promote hopelessness.  We will also hear testimonies from survivors of these losses and attempts.  The information disseminated during this conference will empower delegates to return to their places of worship and/or employment better able to identify those in need of emotional or mental health services and connect them with community services neded.
