Teacher Resources
The Division of Consumer Affairs transferred from the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (“TDCI”) to the Office of the Attorney General effective September 30, 2019. Accordingly, you may see several resources with TDCI branding or information. The information in the resources is still accurate – the Division simply moved.
The Division of Consumer Affairs wants young Tennesseans to be equipped with the information needed to become savvy consumers. Want to teach kids about privacy and online safety, digital citizenship, understanding advertising, and spotting scams? Check out the Youville program developed by the Federal Trade Commission. Youville is a free, downloadable, educational program to help children ages 8-12 develop skills to be safer online. The program includes lesson plans, activities, and more!
The resources found below were also created for teachers and community educators to utilize in the classroom to promote the topic of consumer protection in Tennessee.
