Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance (QA)  refers to the formal, high-level independent review performed by personnel outside of the design team. This review of the project plans and quantities occurs by an experienced qualified individual (in some cases this individual can be an engineering manager) at strategic points in the plan development process, to certify that the plans and quantities meet established quality standards and provide for appropriate flexibility and cost savings before advancing to the next stage. The QA role is described in more detail in Section 4.0 of the Quality Manual.

Note: Email TDOT.EPSDesignQuality@tn.gov if you find anything confusing or wrong or something that should be added into any of the Quality Checklist or documents and the HQ Design Quality team will work with you to resolve your issue.
