TDOT Weekly Construction Report for Middle Tennessee, July 11-17, 2019
CHEATHAM COUNTY, Culvert Replacement
· LOOK AHEAD – Thursday, July 18 at 12AM through Monday, July 22 at 12AM, SR 12 at MM 6.53 in Ashland City will be closed for culvert replacement.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the bridge on Arlington Avenue over I-40 (MM 52) and on U.S. 41 over Mill Creek
· Friday, July 12 at 9PM through Monday, July 15 at 5AM, I-24 westbound will be closed at the I-40 split (MM 52) for repairs on the Arlington Avenue bridge. Traffic on I-24 westbound south of downtown will be diverted to I-440 west (exit 53) and I-40 east to Briley Parkway (exit 52B). Thru traffic is encouraged to use Briley Parkway to detour to I-24 west. Drivers headed to downtown Nashville should take I-440 to I-65.
o I-40 westbound will be reduced to one lane at the Arlington Avenue bridge at mile marker 213.
o I-40 eastbound and I-24 eastbound will not be impacted.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Interstate 440 Reconstruction
· Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a right lane closure on SR 6 (Franklin Pike southbound) at LM 5.5 for bridge work. There will be lane closures on West End Avenue between LM 14.5-15 for electrical work.
· Daily, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-440 over I-65 in both directions for bridge work. Additionally, there will be lane closures between I-40 and I-65 for paving operations and overhead signage. At least one lane will remain open in both directions.
· From now through August 2020, I-440 will be restricted to two travel lanes in each direction from 5AM-9PM and one travel lane in each direction from 9PM-5AM.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Intersection improvements on US 31A at Welshwood Drive (LM 7.24) and resurfacing from Swiss Drive (LM 4.24) at Elysian Fields Rd (LM 7.52)
· Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be a nightly lane closure on Nolensville Road in both directions from Swiss Drive to Harding Place for construction operations.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, SR 1 Grading, Drainage, Signals, and Paving from Vultee Boulevard to Jupiter Drive
· Daily, 9AM-5PM, There will be a northbound lane closure for milling and paving.
· Thursday, July 11 and Friday, July 12, 8PM-5AM, There will be a northbound lane closure for milling work.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on Hillwood Blvd (LM 0.09)
· From now through July 2019, Hillwood Blvd. will be closed from SR 1 (Harding Pike) to Post Road for bridge replacement. A signed detour will be in place.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from near Clay Lick Rd (LM 5) to west of SR 45 Old Hickory Blvd (LM 8.65)
· Nightly, (excluding Friday and Saturday), 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures for paving between MM 37-40. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-24/Hickory Hollow Interchange Improvements (MM 62) and Safety Improvements at I-24/Old Hickory Blvd (MM 60)
· Daily, 8PM-5AM, There will be a temporary closure of the ramp at Old Hickory Blvd for striping.
· LOOK AHEAD - Friday, July 19 at 8PM through Monday, July 22 at 5AM, The I-24 eastbound on-ramp at Bell Road will be closed. A detour will direct drivers to access I-24 eastbound from Hickory Hollow Parkway. The I-24 westbound on-ramp at Bell Road will not be impacted.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-24 SMART Corridor
· Thursday, July 11 and Friday July 12, and Monday July 15 and Tuesday, July 16, 10AM-12PM, There will be rolling roadblocks for blasting on I-24 westbound at the Hickory Hollow exit and I-24 eastbound at the I-440 interchange.
MAURY COUNTY, Intersection Improvements at Port Royal Road
· Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, Temporary lane closures for the placement of barrier wall on Port Royal Road.
MAURY COUNTY, New Interchange Construction at SR 166 and US 43 (SR 6/Lawrenceburg Hwy), including a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge in Mount Pleasant
· Daily, 8AM-4:30PM, There will be intermittent lane closures for powder coating bridge.
MAURY COUNTY, Widening of Beechcroft Rd from Cleburn Rd to McCormick Crossing
· Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 247 at MM 17.12 for widening and utility activities.
MAURY COUNTY, City of Columbia West 7th Multimodal Streetscape
· Daily, 7AM-5PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 99 between MM 16.40-16.80 in the westbound lane to rehab curb, gutter, and sidewalk area.
MAURY COUNTY, Widening of Duplex Road from US 31 to Secluded Lane
· Daily, 9AM-3:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 247 for road widening.
ROBERTSON COUNTY, I-65 Construction of New Interchange
· Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound for barrier rail relocation and paving operations. One lane will remain open in each direction.
· Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on 31W Southbound for sidewalk construction. One lane will remain open.
ROBERTSON and SUMNER COUNTY, S.I.A. Serving Project "Deepdish"
· Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 52 and US 31W for phase 2 construction activities. One lane will remain open.
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The Resurfacing of I-24 from the Davidson County line to the Rocky Fork Overpass
· Friday, July 12 at 8PM through Monday, July 15, at 5AM, There will be lane closures on I-24 westbound at the bridge over Rock Springs Road (MM 66) for concrete repairs.
· Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-24 eastbound between MM 64-69 construction activities. One lane will remain open at all times.
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, The Resurfacing of SR 10 from Tiger Hill to North of Rutherford Blvd
· Nightly, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 between MM 8.67-12.08 in both directions for construction activities. One lane will remain open at all times.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from near Liberty Pike (LM 13.37) to south of Concord Road (LM 17.50)
· Nightly (excluding Saturdays) 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions on I-65 between MM 67-71 for milling and paving.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Grading, drainage, and paving on SR 11 at the intersection of SR 96 in Triune
· Daily, 8AM-4PM, There will be a lane closure on SR11 northbound and SR 96 westbound (MM 23.40-23.76) for construction activities.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-840 near Campbell Road (LM 26) to west of the bridge over the Harpeth River (LM 33.05)
· Nightly (excluding Friday and Saturday), 8PM-5AM, There will be a nightly lane closure in both directions for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.
WILSON COUNTY, I-840 Resurfacing from north of the Rutherford County line to east of Stewarts Ferry Pike
· Nightly (excluding Friday and Saturday), 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-840 (MM 65-71) in both directions for de-grassing and milling. One lane will remain open at all times.
WILSON COUNTY, Widening on SR 141 from South of Spring Creek to North of Lovers Lane
· Daily, 6AM-6PM, There will be a temporary lane closure on SR 141 for construction activities. One lane will remain open in each direction.
WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 26 over Sinking Creek
· Through fall 2019, SR 26 will be down to one 10' lane in each direction on the bridge over Sinking Creek. One lane will be open in each direction.
WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing from US 70 (SR26) (LM 18) to the Smith County Line (LM 27.73)
· Weekdays, 9AM-3:30PM, Weekends, 6:30AM-6:30PM There will be temporary lane closures on SR 24 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.
WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing SR 141 from East of Stokes Street (LM 10.54) to Sugar Flat Road (LM 14.59)
· Weekdays, 9AM-3:30PM, Weekends 6:30AM-6:30PM, There will be temporary lane closures on SR 141 in both directions for paving activities. One lane will remain open.

· Wednesday, July 17, 8PM-4AM, There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 at MM 200-203 for taking cores.
· Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on southbound SR 1 for construction of sidewalk and curb and gutter for KIPP Nashville (LM 30).
ROBERTSON COUNTY
· Thursday, July 11, 8PM-4AM, There will be lane closures on I-65 northbound between MM 115-113 for paving work.
· Monday, July 15, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-65 in both directions between MM 102-120 for paving operations.
WILSON COUNTY
· Daily, 9AM-3PM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 109, between Callis Road and I-40, for rock blasting/excavation. Additionally, traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions at the intersection of SR 109 and Callis Road for construction of turn lane and crossover.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
