Coffee, Grundy and Marion counties, I-24 expansion of rural TDOT SmartWay Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) from MM 109 to MM 157:  Work on this project is complete and the project is in the burn-in period.  There will be no lane or shoulder closures during this report period.  [Stansell Electric Company, Inc./Parnham/CNN205]

Cumberland County, I-40 West near MM 326, construction of a truck climbing lane, including grading, drainage, construction of retaining walls and paving:  Contractor will require a short-term lane closure to replace a damaged attenuator.  Work on this project continues.  Construction signs have been installed on I-40 westbound.  The right shoulder will be closed for the duration of the project.  The contractor continues construction on the two retaining walls.  Temporary closures will only be allowed from 7PM to 6AM Sundays through Thursdays.  A minimum of one lane must be maintained at all times.  No lane closures will be allowed during special events, holidays or holiday weekends in accordance with the plans and specifications.  Estimated project completion date is June 2018.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Bradley/CNQ329]

Cumberland County, I-40 Resurfacing from east of US 70 (SR 1 – LM 24.6) to the bridges over Ozone Road (LM 29.19):  Work on this project continues.  The contractor will be installing pavement markings and permanent signs, which will require temporary lane closures.  Temporary lane closures will only be allowed from 8PM to 6AM Sundays through Thursdays.  A minimum of one lane must be maintained at all times.  No lane closures will be allowed during special events, holidays or holiday weekends in accordance with the plans and specifications.  Estimated project completion date is August 2017.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Bradley/CNQ349]

Cumberland County, SR-101 (Peavine Road) grading, drainage, and paving from Firetower Road to Westchester/Catoosa Boulevard:  Work on this project continues.  Construction signs have been installed.  The contractor will be installing and maintaining erosion control measures.  Clearing and grubbing, utility relocation, and grade work activities are in progress.  Temporary lane closures may be needed, and motorists should be alert for construction personnel and equipment along SR-101 Peavine Road.  Estimated project completion date is November 2020.  [Rogers Group. Cumberland County, SR-101 (Peavine Road) utility relocation from Firetower Road to east of Westchester Drive/Catoosa Boulevard:  Final work activities are in progress to allow energizing the new transmission lines.  Afterwards, the existing transmission lines can be removed from along SR 101 (Peavine Road).  Energizing the new transmission lines will require short term power outages which will be coordinated with VEC during the evening hours.  These activities will have only minor impact to traffic on SR-101 (Peavine Road).  Estimated project completion date is July 2017.  [Davis H. Cumberland County, SR-101 (Lantana Road) resurfacing from the Bledsoe County line (LM 0.0) to Vandever Road (LM 9.12):  Work on this project has begun.  Construction signs and cold planing are scheduled for this week.  Work will require temporary lane closures with flaggers (two-lane road).  Motorists should be alert for construction personnel and equipment.  Estimated project completion date is October 2017.  [Rogers Group. DEKALB AND WILSON COUNTIES, miscellaneous safety improvements on U.S. 70 (S.R. 26) from west of the Dekalb County Line (L.M. 20.16) in Wilson County to near S.R. 96 (L.M. 6.10) in Dekalb County:   This project is complete and awaiting final inspection.  Estimated project completion date is July 2017.  [Superior Traffic Control, Inc./Sorrelle/CNR026]

Franklin County, SR-50 grading, drainage, and paving from SR-50 to U.S. 64 (SR-15) in Winchester:  Work on this project continuesThe new SR-50 is now opened up to traffic.  Traffic wishing to bypass the square will now be using the roundabout.  Drivers are encouraged to pay attention to the signs and pavement markings as everyone gets used to this new traffic pattern.  Estimated project completion date is July 2017.  [Dement Construction Co., LLC./Parnham/CNP097]

Franklin county, SR-476 bridge repair over the Elk River (L.M. 3.39) and Hurricane Creek (L.M. 7.40):  Work on this project continues. The bridge is reduced to one 9’ lane and controlled with a temporary traffic signal until further notice.  Estimated project completion date is October 2018.  [Mid-State Construction Co., Inc./Parnham/CNQ930]

Franklin county, SR-127 the construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge over the Elk River (L.M. 6.21), including grading, drainage and paving:  Work on this project continues.  The bridge will be reduced to one 10.5’ lane and controlled with a temporary traffic signal until further notice.  Estimated project completion date is October 2018.  [Simpson Construction Co., Inc./Parnham/CNR044]

FRANKLIN COUNTY, U.S. 64 (SR-15) resurfacing from the Lincoln County line (L.M. 0.00) to near Brannan Hill Road (L.M. 8.65):  Work on this project has begun.  Work on this project will take place on Mondays through Saturdays between 6AM - 8PM.  Construction signs and safety notification will be in place to assist traffic and safety personnel will be present.  Estimated project competition date is September 2017.  [Tinsley Asphalt, LLC/Parnham/CNR931]

Grundy County, SR-56 bridge repair over Pepper Hollow Branch (LM 31.24):  Work on this project has begun.  The contractor will be performing bridge repairs on SR-56 over the Pepper Hollow Branch waterway.  The initial construction will be in the southbound lane.  During these repairs the southbound lane will be closed and a temporary traffic light system will control traffic over the single northbound lane that will be open to traffic.  An additional traffic light will control traffic from Teeters Lane at the north end of the project.  Once repairs are completed on the southbound lane the lane closure will switch over to the northbound lane and the traffic light system will control the traffic in the single southbound lane.  Estimated project completion date is April 2018.  [Jamison Construction, LLC/Voiles/CNQ345]

HAMILTON COUNTY, U.S. 27 (I-124) widening from I-24/U.S. 27 interchange to north of the Olgiati Bridge over the Tennessee River, including widening the Olgiati Bridge:  Work on this project continues.  The speed limit on U.S. 27 in the construction zone is 45 MPH.

On Friday, July 28, 2017 at 7PM through Saturday, July 29, 2017 at noon, the contractor will be shifting traffic on U.S. 27 North to the recently-constructed lanes along the east (right) side of the highway.  The area of the shift will be from I-24 to MLK Blvd.  During this complicated traffic shift, there will be some temporary ramp closures, and detours will be posted.  As a final traffic adjustment, the new loop ramp from eastbound MLK Blvd. to U.S. 27 North will be opened, and the current left turn to the northbound ramp will be closed.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area during the traffic shift.  Motorists who must travel on U.S. 27 North during this time period should be alert to changing conditions.

When the new work week begins on Monday morning, traffic on eastbound MLK Blvd. must get in the right lane and use the new loop ramp to access U.S. 27 North.  They will have the same yield situation that the southbound MLK Blvd. and 4th St. ramps currently have.  The U.S. 27 North on/off ramps to/from 4th St. will not be affected by this change. 

On the mainline of U.S. 27 North, traffic will transition from the new lanes back to the existing lanes immediately north of the MLK Blvd. overpass.

If the weather is adverse, the traffic shift will be moved from Friday-Saturday to Saturday-Sunday. 

U.S. 27 South, traffic has been shifted to the right on U.S. 27 South from 4th Street to MLK Blvd. to allow the contractor to safely work in the middle portion of the road.  Traffic is impacted by the loss of acceleration/merge areas onto U.S. 27 South from the on‑ramps at 4th Street and MLK Blvd.  Ramp traffic must yield at these locations.  The contractor may have temporary lane or shoulder closures on U.S. 27 between 7PM-6AM.  At least one lane will remain open in each direction on U.S. 27.  THP will assist with traffic control on the project as necessary.  Estimated project completion date is July 2019.  For more info, visit the project website http://www.tn.gov/tdot/topic/US27-reconstruction-chattanooga.  [Dement Construction Co., LLC/JM/CNP230]

Hamilton County, SR 317 (Apison Pike) the grading, drainage and paving on from Old Lee Highway (LM 5.58) to SR-321 (Ooltewah-Ringgold Road) (LM 7.84):  Work on this project continues.  During this report period the contractor may have intermittent lane closures throughout the project from 9AM to 4PM.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control as neededEstimated project completion date is July 2017. Hamilton County, SR-320 (East Brainerd Road) grading, drainage, installation of signals, construction of seven retaining walls and paving from east of Graysville Road to east of Bel-Air Road:  Work on this project continuesDuring this report period, the contractor will have intermittent lane closures between 9AM-2PM.  This work may affect either direction of East Brainerd Road or side streets from Graysville Road to Hamlett Drive as the contractor installs road crossings and borings.  Traffic has been switched onto the newly-constructed section from the west end of the project to the Hurricane Creek Rd./East Brainerd Rd. intersection, allowing the contractor to work on the other side of the roadway.  The contractor may have short-term lane closures to perform various operations on an as-needed basis.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed.  Estimated project completion date is June 2018. Hamilton County, SR-153/SR-319 (Hixson Pike) bridge repair on Hixson Pike over SR-153:  Work on this project continues.  The contractor will be working on the inside lanes of the bridge.  The outside lanes in both directions are open to traffic.  This lane closure will be in place until late November 2017.  During this report period the contractor may have intermittent lane closures on SR-153 from 9PM to 6AM to do work under the bridge.  If there are any temporary closures needed on SR-153 as part of this project, they will take place at nighttime on Sundays through Thursdays between 9PM and 6AM and on weekdays on SR-153 South between 9AM and 3PM and on SR-153 North between 7:30AM and 3PM.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control as necessary during these temporary closures.  Estimated project completion date is May 2018. Hamilton County,  U.S. 27 (SR-29) resurfacing from north of Signal Mountain Road (LM. 3.02) to north of SR-29 (MM. 6.0/LM 6.07):  This project is complete.  There are a few minor punch list items to be corrected.  However, no lane closures will be required.  Contractor has been authorized to remove all signs.  Estimated project completion date is July 2017. Hamilton County,  SR-153 resurfacing from L.M. 7.11 (Chickamauga Dam) to LM 8.89 (Hixson Pike):  Work on this project continues.  Milling operation will require lane closures from 9:00 p.m. thru 6:00 a.m.   Lane closures are limited to Sunday night thru Thursday night from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.  Estimated project completion date is September 2017.  [Wright Brothers Construction Co, Inc./Micka/CNR133]

Hamilton County, the tunnel cleaning of the McCallie Tunnel on U.S. 11 (US 64, SR-2), the Stringers Ridge Tunnel on U.S. 127 (SR-8), and the Bachman Tubes on U.S. 41 (U.S. 76, SR-8):  The nighttime cleaning operation of McCallie Tunnels, Stringers Ridge Tunnel, and Bachman Tubes occurs between 8PM-6AM.  Tunnels will be closed during cleaning, and detours will be marked accordingly as each tunnel is cleaned.  Contract completion date is June 2018.  [ETI Environmental, Inc./Micka/CNR223]

Marion County, I-24 East resurfacing from the Grundy County Line (LM 0.00/MM 133) to east of the bridge over Cave Cove Creek (LM 6.36/MM141) in Monteagle:  Work on this project continues.  The contractor will perform nightly milling and paving on I-24 East between mile markers 133-141.  All milling and paving work on this project will take place on Sunday through Thursday evenings between the hours of 7PM and 6AM.  This work will require temporary lane closures on I-24 East.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Motorists are advised to use extreme caution during this project.  Estimated project completion date is August 2017.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Parnham/CNQ381]

McMinn County, I-75 resurfacing from near mile marker 39 to the SR-30 bridge near mile marker 49:  Work on this project has begun.  The contractor will be performing milling and paving operations during this report period.  Lane closures will only be allowed on Sunday through Thursday evenings between the hours of 7PM to 6AM.  Additionally, during the project the contractor will be allowed a maximum of six weekend closures from 6AM on Saturday through 7PM on Sunday to install an underdrain system.  There will be no weekend closures during this report period.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Estimated project completion is October 2017.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Curtis/CNR201]

McMinn County, SR-305 resurfacing from SR-30 (LM 0.00) to U.S. 11/SR-2 (LM 2.85):  Work on this project continues.  The contractor will have intermittent temporary lane closures on SR-305 during this report period to perform striping operations.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control.  Estimated project completion is July 2017.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Curtis/CNQ244]

McMinn County, SR-30 grading, drainage and paving at the intersection of Denso Drive and Milton Road in Athens, including adding turn lanes and upgrading the traffic signals (LM 6.30 – LM 6.50):  Work on this project continues.  The contractor may have intermittent temporary lane closures on SR-30 during this report period to mill and pave the roadway.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control.  Estimated project completion is October 2017.  [Greenstar, LLC/Curtis/CNR037]

MCMINN COUNTY, SR-30 resurfacing from east of Milton Drive (L.M. 6.50) to east of Jackson Street (L.M. 10.86):  Work on this project has begun.  The contractor will be milling and paving throughout the project limits on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 7PM and 6AM.  Estimated project completion is August 2017.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Micka/CNR128]

Meigs County, SR-58 bridge repair over Big Sewee Creek (LM 22.84):  ):  Both lanes are now open to traffic.  The temporary signal has been removed.  Punch list work will be done with flaggers if necessary. Estimated project completion is July 2017.  [Wilson Construction Group, LLC/Micka/CNQ126]

Overton County, SR-52 grading, drainage, signals and paving from near Oakley-Allons Road (LM 6.58) to DR-111 (LM 10.23):  Work on this project continues.  Tower Hill Road at the Allons Baptist Church on SR-52 has been closed until further notice.  The closure will allow the contractor to bring the road up to grade.  The detour for this closure is Elmer Langford Road.  The contractor may have short term lane closures on the project to perform various operations on as-needed basis.  Estimated project completion date is July 2018.  [J&M Grading Division, LLC/Hoskins/CNP114]

Overton County, SR-84 bridge repair over branch (LM 10.16):  Work on this project continues.  The bridge is reduced to one 10’ lane and controlled with a temporary traffic signal until further notice.  Estimated project completion date is November 2017.  [Jamison Construction, LLC/Hoskins/CNQ940]

Polk County, U.S. 64 (SR-40) construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge over Branch and TOHA Old Line railroad (LM 24.85), including grading, drainage and paving:  Work on this project continues.  The contractor will be clearing and there will be occasional temporary lane closures.  The traveling public is advised to be cautious around flaggers and construction workers in the construction zone.  Estimated project completion date is May 2019.  [Talley Construction Co., Inc./Curtis/CNQ900]

POLK COUNTY, SR-30, miscellaneous safety improvements from SR-33 (LM 2.65) to east of Mountain View Road (LM 3.96):  Work on this project continues.  The contractor will have intermittent lane closures as the contractor works on the striping and installing new signs.  Estimated project completion date is August 2017.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Curtis/CNR900]

Putnam County, I-40 grading, drainage, construction of two concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridges, signals and paving at Mine Lick Creek Road (MM 283/LM 15.56) and construction of a State Industrial Access Road (Mine Lick Creek Road) serving Project Victor, including grading, drainage and paving:  Work on this project continues.  The contractor has provided and maintains a temporary access to Old Stewart Cemetery Road from Bennett Road, and signs are posted.  The contractor completed placement of the treated permeable base on the westbound ramps.  No rolling roadblocks are scheduled at this time.  The contractor is working to form up the exterior walls of the box bridge at Bennett Road and have pours scheduled during this period.  The contractor will continue with bridge operations for Phase 2 with the placement of deck steel reinforcement and forming abutment backwalls.  Barrier rail delineation is installed on I‑40 in the west direction to continue work on the tie in.  The shoulder is closed with signs posted ahead of the closure.  The contractor began grading operations on the S.I.A which will continue over the next few months.  Motorists are advised to observe the posted speed limits when entering the work zone and be alert to construction personnel, equipment and vehicles.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control as necessary.  Estimated project completion date is May 2018.  [Charles Blalock & Sons, Inc./Sorrelle/CNP247]

Putnam County, grading, drainage and paving on a State Industrial Access road serving Institutional Wholesale in Algood:  Work on this project continues.  The contractor will continue backfilling the pump station on Burton Branch Road and completing sewer and electrical tie-ins.  Burton Branch Road is currently closed to complete tie-ins at the intersection with Dry Valley Road.  The contractor is progressing with grading operations and placement of base stone from the intersection of Dry Valley Road to Institutional Wholesale.  The contractor will continue with clearing and grubbing operations during this period.  Motorists are advised to observe the posted speeds when entering the work zone and be alert to construction personnel, equipment and vehicles.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control during this time.  No lane closures will be allowed during special events, holidays or holiday weekends in accordance with the plans and specifications.  Estimated project completion date is November 2017.  [Rogers Group, Inc./Sorrelle/CNQ136]

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 bridge repair of bridges over SR-24 (LM 33.46 & LM 34.12 R&L):  Work on this project continues.  Phase 2 bridge repairs continue on I-40 East.  The travel lanes are now split out to two (2) single 11 foot wide lanes at Exit 301.  Oversize loads wider than 11 feet must use Exit 301 to continue eastbound.  The westbound lanes are currently split out to two (2) single 11 foot wide lanes as work is being performed on the bridge deck repairs.  Oversize loads wider than 11 feet heading westbound must use Exit 301 and 300 to continue westbound.  The posted speed limit on I-40 has been reduced to 55 MPH through the construction zone for the safety of the motoring public.  All motorists will use the exterior lanes of travel as work is performed on the middle span of the bridge.  THP will assist during this time.   The contractor will utilize daily lane closures in each direction on SR-24 as repair work is performed on I-40. Motorists should use extreme caution and be alert to construction equipment and vehicles within the work zone. PUTNAM COUNTY, Old Baxter Road bridge repair over I-40 (L.M. 2.89):  Work on this project continues.  The contractor has completed removal of the existing beams in the eastbound and westbound direction of I-40 at this time.  The contractor has completed the pour for abutment 2 and is working on making repairs to the beam and the bent cap in the median during this period.  Motorists should use extreme caution and be alert to construction equipment and personnel as work is performed on I-40.  Estimated project completion date is May 2018.  [Bell & Associates Construction, L.P./Sorrelle/CNR066]

REGION 2 random on-call spray thermoplastic pavement marking on various interstate and state routes:  Work on this project continues.  This is a mobile operation to be performed during day and night operations.  Low volume roads will be performed during day operations while high volume roads will be performed at night.  All motorists should use caution and be alert to slow moving equipment while avoiding freshly painted pavement surfaces.  Contract completion date is June 2018.  [Whiteleaf LLC dba Traffic Solutions, Inc./Sorrelle/CNR052]

Region 2, preventative and unscheduled maintenance of Chattanooga SmartWay Intelligent Transportation System:  The contractor may have short term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance to the Chattanooga SmartWay intelligent transportation system.  Work hours are 9AM-3:30PM.  At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed.  Contract completion date is October 2019.  [NABCO Electric Company, Inc./Pruett/CNQ287]

Region 2-on-call cable guardrail repair:  The contractor may have short term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform cable barrier system repair.  At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times during any work that is performed.  Contract completion date is December 2017.  [Nationwide Construction Group/Parnham/CNQ282]

Region 2-on-call sweeping and drain cleaning on various interstates and state routes:  The contractor will have short term shoulder and/or lane closures at various locations in Region 2 at nighttime or during non-peak daytime hours in order to sweep and clean drains.  Contract completion date is February 2018.  [Blevins Enterprises, Inc./Micka/CNQ328]

Region 2-on-call concrete repair on various interstates and state routes:  The contractor will have short term shoulder and/or lane closures at various locations in Region 2 as necessary to perform concrete repair work.  Hamilton County:  On Tuesday, April 25 and Wednesday, April 26 between 8PM and 6AM, the contractor will be restriping the concrete pavement on the SR-153 South exit to I-75 North.  Both lanes will be closed in the work zone to grind, seal, and re-paint the pavement.  Both lanes will be closed and traffic will be detoured onto the Hamilton place exit where they can exit to Hamilton Place or detour back on to I-75 NB after the work zone.  Additionally, the contractor will be closing the left 2 lanes on I-75 North at mile marker 9.1 and the left lane on I-75 South at mile marker 8.9 to restripe previously replaced concrete slabs. Rhea County, SR-302 bridge repair over Clear Creek (LM 2.57):  Work on this project continues.  Construction signs and traffic control measures are in place.  The bridge is currently reduced to one 10’ wide travel lane to allow the contractor to safely repair the bridge.  While the bridge is down to one lane, traffic will be maintained and controlled by a temporary signal for the safety of the traveling public.  Motorists should expect periodic delays and use caution in the work zone.  Estimated project completion date is September 2017.  [Jamison Construction, LLC/Micka/CNQ104]

Rhea County, U.S. 27 (SR-29) grading, drainage and paving at the intersection of SR-378 in Dayton (LM 6.53 – LM 6.80):  Work on this project continues.  The project will realign and signalize the intersection of U.S. 27 with SR-378.  The portion of SR-378 crossing Little Richland Creek is now closed to traffic until the project is complete.  Detour signing is posted at the intersections of SR-30 and SR-378.  The closure of the portion of SR-378 crossing Little Richland Creek should continue for the duration of the project (until new signals are operational).  With SR-378 closed, the intersection at U.S. 27 will be relocated and realigned.  Additionally it will be signalized and have turning lanes added from U.S. 27.  The intersection just north (U.S. 27 and 11th Ave.) will also be widened and signalized as part of this project.  Estimated project completion date is November 2017.  [Talley Construction Co., Inc./Micka/CNR060]

Van Buren County, SR-111 grading, drainage, and paving from south of Manus Road to south of SR-285 near Double Bridge Road:  Work on this project continues.  Motorists should expect periodic delays.  Flaggers will be present during progression of work.  Motorists should use caution and be alert to construction equipment and vehicles within the work zone.  The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH and is being enforced.  Estimated project completion date is August 2017.  [Jones Bros., Inc./Parnham & Price/CNM266]

Van Buren and White Counties, miscellaneous safety improvements on various local roads in Van Buren County; miscellaneous safety improvements including high friction surface course on various local roads in White County:  Work on this project continues.  Motorists should use caution and be alert to construction equipment and personnel within the work zone.  No lane closures will be allowed during special events, holidays or holiday weekends in accordance with the plans and specifications.  Estimated project completion date is July 2017.  [Superior Traffic Control, Inc./Sorrelle/CNQ265]

Warren County, SR-288 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge over Collins River (LM 4.97), including grading, drainage and paving:  Work on this project continues.  Construction signs and traffic control measures are in place.  Pier #3 (Phase ǀ) is complete.  Drilling for Piles on Abutment #1 (Phase I) & work on Abutment #2 (Phase I) Wingwall is underway.  Pile Tip Elevations for Drilled Shafts have been determined & Drilled Shaft Installation is tentatively scheduled for the month of August.  The bridge is currently reduced to one 12-ft. lane to allow the contractor to construct the new bridge.  While the bridge is down to one lane, traffic will be maintained and controlled by a temporary signal for the safety of the traveling public.  Motorists should expect periodic delays and use caution in the work zone. TDOT Operations/Maintenance Work and TDOT Bridge Inspections (TDOT Forces)

Hamilton County, I-24 at various locations:  Geotechnical crews will be performing nighttime drilling operations beginning on July 24, 2018 along the shoulder of I-24 in preparation for a future project.  These operations will occur between 8PM and 6AM and will require shoulder closures.  Drilling may encroach on the lane at times and require a temporary lane closure.  Any lane closures will only be allowed on Sunday nights through Thursday nights. 

Region 2-Mowing and Brush Removal:  There will be possible short-term lane and shoulder closures at various locations in Region 2 in order to perform contract mowing and brush removal on an as-needed basis.  In addition to performing the work, regional Operations crews will also provide traffic control.

Region 2-Drainage Work:  There will be possible short-term lane and shoulder closures at various locations in Region 2 in order to clean rock and debris from ditches on an as-needed basis.  One lane will be maintained at all times. 

Region 2-Pothole Repair and Pavement Patching:  There will be possible short-term emergency lane closures at various locations in Region 2 in order to repair potholes and patch pavement on an as-needed basis.  Depending on location and severity these repairs may be done during the day or at night.  In addition to performing the work, regional Operations crews will also provide traffic control.
