BENTON COUNTY - I-40 Truck Climbing Lane
LOOK AHEAD: Friday, April 7 through Monday, April 10, 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures on I-40 westbound between mile marker 132 and 134.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR-424: Construction of a concrete bulb-tee beam bridge on SR 424 over Roan Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways. Restrictions: Beginning Thursday, January 19, 2017, a signal system was put into place. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-104: Miscellaneous safety improvements on SR 104 from SR 181 (Great River Road) to SR 182 (Lenox-Nauvoo Road) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange (LM 1.38-LM 2.35). Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64); Resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the 5 lane section to near Tomlin Road.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64); Bridge Repair project on SR 15 over Howell Creek will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: Bridge Repair project on SR 100 over overflow​
Tuesday, May 31 through May 31, 2017, a signal system is being utilized. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Watch for flagmen.​
Restrictions: On Tuesday, June 14, 2016, a signal system was put into place. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A widening project on SR 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at Hawkins Lane: Bridge Repair project over I-40 at Hawkins Lane will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-Bridge over I-40 at SR-19 (Exit 60): Bridge Repair project at log mile 16.62 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21: Bridge Repair project on SR 21 over Reelfoot Spillway will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: On Tuesday, July 19, through Tuesday, May 16, 2017, a signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one 9’ 9” lane in each direction.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-21:  The construction of a concrete I-Beam bridge on SR 21 over Branch Creek, including grading, drainage, and paving.  Beginning Monday, September 12, 2016, SR 21 was closed to thru traffic until approximately September 30, 2017. Detour route posted.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: The construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78:
Friday, March 31, 1PM-1:30PM: SR-78 will be closed at LM 9.68 for dedication of a memorial sign.

LAUDERDALE, SR-3: Resurfacing will cause possible lane closures from SR 19 (Lake Drive) to near New Wilson Road.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-18: Construction of a concrete box bridge on SR 18 over Meridian Creek will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. A temporary signal will be utilized.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-197: Construction of 2 concrete I-beam bridges, grading, drainage and paving. Beginning Friday April 15, 2016 through Sunday, May 31, 2017: There will be lane a closure on State Route 197, just east of Beech Bluff Rd. over branch.
Restrictions: Beginning Monday October 24, 2016 through Wednesday, May 31, 2017: Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction with a 10’ lane restriction. A signal system is being utilized.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-117: Bridge Repair project on SR 117 over Snake Creek.
Beginning Tuesday, June 14, a signal system is being utilized. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Watch for flagmen.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ lane restriction. A signal system is being utilized.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from 0.2 mile south of US 51 (SR 3) to 0.2 mile south of US 45W (SR 5). Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday, March 29 through Wednesday, April 5: I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are lane shifts on I-40 east and westbound.  Beginning December 5, 2014, there are transitions south and northbound on Canada Road.

LOOK AHEAD: Wednesday, April 5, 10PM through Thursday April 6, 3AM: I-40 eastbound lanes be CLOSED and detoured up and over Canada Road via the ramps for placement of water lines under the bridge deck. Traffic will be flagged via Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputies.

*Wednesday, April 6, will serve as a backup date.

Wednesday, April 6, 10PM through Friday, May 19, 10AM: The I-40 westbound exit ramp to Canada Rd. (MM-20.0) will be CLOSED for permanent ramp reconstruction. Detour route to be posted.

Sunday, April 2, 7:30AM-7:50AM: I-40 westbound at mile marker 0 there will be temporary lane closures to test the movable gate.  Two lanes will remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY-Washout Repair
Friday, March 31, 9AM-3PM: The outside lane will be CLOSED on the exit ramp from US-51/Elvis Presley Blvd. to I-55 northbound to allow for washout repair.  Weather Permitting.

*Saturday, April 1, 9AM–3PM will serve as a backup date.

Sunday, April 2, 9AM-3PM: The “On” ramp from Airways Blvd. to I-240 eastbound will have INTERMITTENT delays during the day for trucks entering and exiting the site for dumping rock to allow for washout repair.  Weather Permitting.

*Monday, April 3, 9AM-3PM will serve as a backup date.

Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 12: The I-40 east and westbound outside lanes and shoulders will be CLOSED to provide a staging area for vehicles and equipment, as well as access for the man lift. I-40 Westbound lanes will be CLOSED Monday through Friday, 12PM–4PM, and on Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m. Eastbound lanes will be CLOSED (as needed) Monday through Friday, 9:00 a. m.–6:00 p. m. and on Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.

SHELBY COUNTY, Intersection of I-240 and Airways Blvd
Monday, March 20 through Friday, March 24, 7:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m.: There will be night time lane closures on I-240 westbound between MM 22.6 and MM 24.2 for soil test borings.

SHELBY COUNTY I-55 – Removal of Union Pacific RR Bridge over I-55
Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30, 10:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures of I-55 north and southbound to allow workers to safely prepare for the weekend bridge removal.

* Wednesday, April 19 and Thursday, April 20 will serve as a backup date.

Friday, March 31, 7:00 p.m. through Monday, April 3, 6:00 a.m.: I-55 will be CLOSED to through traffic to allow removal of overhead bridge. I-55 southbound traffic will follow the detour starting at the I-40/I-55 juncture in West Memphis Arkansas. I-55 northbound traffic will follow the detour starting at the junction of I-55 and I-240. Local access (non-through traffic). Southbound local traffic will have access to West McLemore Avenue/Presidents Island (Exit 11). Northbound local traffic will have access to South Parkway West (Exit 10). Weather Permitting.

*A detour will be posted for through traffic.

SHELBY COUNTY I-55 Resurfacing on I-55 from near Horn Lake Road (LM 8.00 L&R) to McLemore Road (LM 11.00 L&R)

, 8PM-5AM.: There will be INTERMITTENT closures with one lane to remain open on I-55 north and southbound from mile marker 8 to 11to allow for resurfacing. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. THP will assist with traffic control. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road have been CLOSED to thru traffic.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 and SR-4:
LOOK AHEAD:  
Sunday, April 9, 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.: CLOSE all east and westbound travel lanes on SR-86/US-72 at LM-5.0 using a rolling road block. This closure will allow maintenance on existing overhead wireline crossing.

Sunday, April 9, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.: CLOSE the exit ramp from eastbound SR-4/US-78 to eastbound I-240 (Exit 21). This closure will allow maintenance on existing overhead electric transmission tower line crossing.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385 over I-240: Bridge Repair
Wednesday, March 29 through Wednesday, April 5: No lane closures at this time.

TDOT REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail Repair
Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. No work will be scheduled Friday or Saturday nights. Weather Permitting.

Monday, April 3 through Wednesday, April 5, 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control. No work will be scheduled Friday or Saturday nights. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Shelby County, east & westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 32.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-240, Shelby County, east & westbound, southbound & northbound (MM 1.0 to MM 30.0), one lane will remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, north & southbound (MM 0.0 to MM 12.0), one lane will remain open.
  • SR-385, Shelby County, north & southbound, eastbound & westbound (MM 2.0 to MM 49.0), one lane will remain open.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

Wednesday, March 29 through Wednesday, April 5, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. Weather Permitting.
