MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close a short section of SR 205 (Collierville-Arlington Road) in Shelby County on Tuesday, May 17, for emergency repairs. The work is scheduled as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - SR 205 (Collierville-Arlington Road) from George R. James Road to Seward Road will be closed.

The closure is necessary to replace deteriorated pipe underneath the highway and washed out slopes on both sides of the roadway. Message boards are in place to alert motorists to the road closures. Drivers are advised to plan ahead and utilize alternate routes if possible.

The scheduled closures are weather dependent.  Should inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances prevent work from occurring as scheduled, the time will be adjusted or the work will be rescheduled.
