DYER COUNTY, I-155: Bridge Repair on I-155 over the Mississippi River
Thursday, July 23, 2015 through Wednesday, August 31, 2016: There will be lane closures eastbound and westbound on I-155 over the Mississippi River Bridge, for duration of the project. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction with a 14’ 10.5” lane restriction. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

FAYETTE and HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-222: A grading project on State Route 222 from north of

I-40 to south of Camp Ground Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-15 (US-64): A widening project on State Route 15 from Firetower Road to west of Bigbee Branch. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-22: There will be temporary lane closures northbound on State Route 22 between mile marker 6.05 and 6.50 for guardrail repair.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on State Route 128 from South of Opel Loop to

US-64 (SR-15) in Savannah. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY, I-40:
Wednesday, January 20 & Thursday, January 21, 8:00 a. m.-3:30 p. m.: There will be temporary day time lane closures at the following locations for bridge inspection. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40, Stanton-Koko Road bridge westbound MM 51.98. One lane will remain open.
  • SR-19, (Old Mercer Road) bridge eastbound & westbound MM 60.1. One lane will remain open.
  • SR-1, (US-70) twin bridges eastbound MM 65.7. One lane will remain open.

HAYWOOD COUNTY, SR-76: Thursday, January 14, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary lane closure northbound and southbound on State Route 76 over the Hatchie River for inspection of the truss bridge. These closures will not be simultaneously. One lane will remain open.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-218: Grading, drainage, construction of I-beam bridge and paving 2.6 miles on State Route 218 from State Route 69 northwest of Paris to US-641 (State Route 54). On Friday

May 8, 2015, Iron Banks Road was closed to thru traffic until approximately October 31, 2016.

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, SR-208: A widening project on State Route 208 (State Route 209/Cleveland Street) beginning at State Route 209 (Washington Street) and extending to State Route 208 at US-51/State Route 3 in Ripley. All routes are open but there will be possible temporary lane closures daily. Watch for flagmen.

MADISON COUNTY, I-40: Remediation Excavation
Wednesday, January 13, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be day time lane closures on I-40 westbound at MM 83.7 for excavation of diesel fuel contaminated soil and put back due to CMV fuel spill.

MADISON COUNTY, I-40: Reconstruction of an Accident
Thursday, January 14, 9:30 a. m.-10:30 a. m.: There will be day time lane closures on I-40 eastbound at mile marker 79.0 for reconstruction of an accident.

OBION COUNTY, SR-22: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from the State Route 22 connector to State Route 214.

SHELBY COUNTY -Annual Preventative and Unscheduled Maintenance of the Memphis I. T. S. System Equipment, including the TMC

Saturday, January 9 through Wednesday, January 13, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p.m.:  There will be temporary day time lane closures at the following locations, for the purpose of performing unscheduled & scheduled maintenance on SmartWay cameras. Weather Permitting.

  • I-40 eastbound MM 0.8-MM 1.2 (2nd St. and I-40 to Danny Thomas and I-40), right (outside) lane. Three lanes will remain open, one lane will be closed.
  • I-40 eastbound MM 1C-MM 1C.6 (Vollintine Ave. and I-40 to Smith Ave. and I-40) right (outside) lane. Two lanes will remain open, one lane will be closed.
  • I-240 eastbound MM 29.8-MM 28.9 (Linden Ave and I-240 to Walker Ave. and I-240) right (outside) lane. Two lanes will remain open, one lane will be closed.
  • I-240 westbound MM 28.0-MM 28.7 (South Parkway and I-240 to Walker Ave. and I-240) right (outside) lane. Two lanes will remain open, one lane will be closed.
  • I-240 westbound MM 26.2-MM 26.7 (Norris Rd. and I-240 to South of Alice Ave. and I-240) right (outside) lane. Two lanes will remain open, one lane will be closed.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Canada Road
Wednesday, January 13 through Wednesday, January 20: I-40 speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.  There are lane shifts eastbound and westbound on I-40. Beginning December 05, 2014, there are transitions southbound and northbound on Canada Road.

Wednesday, January 13 through Tuesday, January 19: The outside lane of I-40 Westbound over the Mississippi River bridge is closed (closed only on the “Arkansas” end of the bridge) for repair work.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40/I-240 Phase 2 Interchange Improvements:
Sam Cooper EB: The left lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Eastbound is CLOSED, beginning east of Perkins Road to the I-40/I-240 interchange.

Sam Cooper WB: The right lane of Sam Cooper Boulevard Westbound is CLOSED, beginning east of the I-40/I-240 interchange. (Two left lanes are open)

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 between Walnut Grove and I-40 interchange. One lane of northbound I-240 is also CLOSED in this same section.

I-40 WB: 3 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(1 lane Sam Cooper, 1 lane I-240W, 1 lane I-40W/new flyover)

I-40 EB: 4 lanes will remain open for bridge work over the Wolf River Bridge.

(2 lanes I-240E to I-40E, 1 lane I-40E (new flyover) 1 lane Sam Cooper

I-240 EB ramp has 2 lanes open.

I-240 EB to I-40 WB has the left lane closed.

Summer Ave. Exit:  The Summer Ave. exit from I-40 WB will remain closed until completion of Wolf River Bridge.  Motorist must exit off  I-40 WB at Exit 12 (Sycamore View) and follow detour to Summer Ave.

Beginning 1-11-16: Covington Pike will be one lane in each direction at the I-40 Interchange for approximately 2 months.

Thursday night, January 14 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

  1.      the outside lane of I-240 westbound beginning south of Sam Cooper Boulevard (LM-12.4) extending to the Walnut Grove Road Interchange (LM-13.4) to allow for the installation of an overhead DMS board. 
  2. : There will be a 15 minute total interstate closure by way of rolling roadblock while the overhead DMS board is being installed.
  3. Friday night, January 15 and Monday night, January 18 will serve as backup dates. 

Saturday, January 16 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

     INTERMITTENT lane closures on eastbound Sam Cooper Boulevard beginning east of the Mendenhall Rd. overpass extending to the I-40/I-240 Interchange to allow for the relocation of the eastbound lane to the new inside lane and the relocation of the Exit 10A ramp (I-240W ramp) to its own dedicated lane.  Exit 10A ramp (I-240W ramp) will be CLOSED during this work.

  • Sunday, January 17 and Saturday, January 23 will serve as backup dates.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55:
Wednesday, January 20, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be temporary day time lane closures southbound I-55 over the Mississippi River log mile 12.00 to inspect underneath the joints/deck. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Night time resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from west of Kentucky Street to State Route 4.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4: Night time resurfacing work will cause possible temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from US-51 (State Route 3) to US-70 (State Route 1).

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-4: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions daily, from south of John Paul Drive to SR-277 (Airways Boulevard). One lane will remain open in each direction.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on State Route 14 for a widening project from State Route 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. April 27, 2015 through May 11, 2016, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a. m. there will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH. As of May 13, 2015, Egypt-Central Road and Momosa Road have been CLOSED to thru traffic until December 31, 2015.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: Bridge Repair on State Route 14 over overflows log mile 26.28, 26.58 & 26.74, Loosahatchie River log mile 26.90 and overflow log mile 27.25. The contractor will continue working underneath the bridge but all lanes of traffic will be open Thursday, December 17, 2015.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-86 (US-72):  Construction on State Route 86 (US-72) for a widening project north of Quinn Road to State Route 57 (Poplar Avenue) in Collierville. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175: Grade, drain, and pave on State Route 175 (Byhalia Road) from south of Shelby Post Road to south of State Route 385 will cause possible lane closure.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-205: Resurfacing work will cause temporary lane closures in both directions, from State Route 57 to south of US 64 (State Route 15). One lane will remain open in each direction.

SHELBY COUNTY:
Wednesday, January 13 through Friday, January 15, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be a temporary ramp closure on the Mount Moriah exit ramp from I-240 westbound. The closure will only be on the exit ramp and not I-240 to cut back tree limbs.

Wednesday, January 13 through Wednesday, January 20, 9:00 a. m.-4:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis. Weather Permitting.

TIPTON and HAYWOOD COUNTIES, SR-54: Wednesday, January 13 through Wednesday, January 20: Bridge Repair on State Route 54 over Hatchie River at log mile 9.60. A signal system will be utilized. On July 6, 2015, State Route 54 over Hatchie River, traffic was reduced to one lane with a 11’ 2” lane restriction. Eastbound lane is now closed to traffic for expansion joint repair and installation of steel reinforcements.
