BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 41 (US 70S/SR 1/Murfreesboro Road) from Transit Avenue to Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority

Sunday August 23 through Wednesday August 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Murfreesboro Road for paving operations.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Grading, Drainage, and Paving of I-40 West Exit Ramp at Church Street

Friday August 21 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM (excluding Saturday) There will be a lane closure on 13th Avenue, from McGavock Street to Broadway, to prepare for sign installation.
Saturday August 22, 6AM-12PM, There will be a temporary lane closure on Church Street at the intersection of 13th Avenue to install signage.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-40 at Charlotte Avenue, Johnston Avenue, Clinton Street, and Herman Street

From now through September 2015, 7AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure on 12th Avenue northbound, including the sidewalk and bike lane, to allow worker access to the median of I-40. 
From now through Wednesday August 26, 8PM-6AM (excluding weekend), There will be lane closures on I-40 in both directions, between Herman Street and Charlotte Avenue AND between Church Street and the I-40/I-65 split, to remove concrete barrier rail, re-pour the median wall, and allow concrete trucks to enter/exit the media work yard.
Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Charlotte Avenue, underneath I-40, from Frontage Road to George L. Davis Boulevard, to allow for the concrete pour of abutment and pier, and for setting up, shifting, and removing the traffic control during the duration of the operation.
Thursday August 20 and Friday August 21, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 in both directions at MM 210 so that bridge deck may be poured.
Sunday August 23, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 in both directions at Jo Johnston Avenue so that the median wall may be poured.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike

Friday August 21, 9PM through Monday August 24, 5AM, There will be a lane closure on the ramp from Vietnam Veterans Blvd (SR 386) to I-65 southbound to allow for the removal of portable barrier wall, installation of base stone, paving of shoulder, and replacement of portable metal barrier wall.
Saturday August 22, 6AM-12Noon, There will be a lane closure on I-65 northbound near Trinity Lane to allow for the pour of the concrete lane behind the barrier wall. 

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, On-Call Signing

Monday August 24 and Tuesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 eastbound near MM 47.0 (Jefferson Street) in order to excavate and pour sign footing.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

Thursday August 20  through Wednesday August 26, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pole installation, electrical service work, fiber optic cabling installation, conduit installation/proving/repairs, and staging of overhead sign structures.

 

DAVIDSON AND WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, Removal and Replacement of HOV Signing and Thermoplastic Markings on Various Interstate Routes

Saturday August 22, 6AM-5PM, There will be a mobile lane closure on I-65, from SR 96 to the I-440 overpass, to get wall dimensions for HOV saddle mounts.

 

DICKSON COUNTY, Emergency Culvert Replacement on SR 49

Monday August 24, 7:00 PM through Tuesday August 25, 3:00 AM, SR 49 will be closed between Vanleer and Erin to replace a damaged culvert under the roadway. Traffic will be diverted to SR 46 in Houston County to the south of the closure and SR 235 (Airport Road) in Dickson County to the north of the closure.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations, and utility relocation.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 northbound at MM 93.6 for trenching, boring and conduit installation.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of SR 268 (Compton Road) from US 231 (SR 10) to SR 96

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 268 in both directions for milling operations.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
Monday August 17 through Wednesday August 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 268 in both directions for paving operations. Traffic will be flagged in two-lane sections.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 840 from near I-24 to West Fork Stone River Bridge

Friday August 21, 8PM through Monday August 24, 5AM, There will be lane closures on the SR 840 exit ramps to Smyrna and Murfreesboro (Exit 55A and Exit 55B) for concrete pavement repair work. Traffic will be shifted to the shoulder of the ramps. Only one ramp at a time will be affected.
Friday August 21 through Monday August 24, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 in both directions, approximately from MM 53 to MM 55, in order to place shoulder stone and perform various project work.  A minimum of one lane will remain open in each direction.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of I-24 from East of SR 840 to Stones River Bridge

Sunday August 23 through Wednesday August 26, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, from MM 74 to MM 79, for installation of thermoplastic pavement markings. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on SR 258 (New Shackle Island Road) at Intersection of Stop Thirty Road and Old Shackle Island Road

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be a temporary, intermittent lane closure on New Shackle Road at Stop Thirty Road to allow trucks hauling material to enter the roadway. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Installation of Signals on US 31E (SR 6) at SR 25

From now through September 2015, SR 25 (Red River Road) southbound will be closed from Blythe Avenue to US 31E (SR 6) in Gallatin for intersection improvement work. Detours are in place.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 259 from US 31W (SR 41) to SR 52

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 259 for chip sealing and micro-surfacing operations.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from the Maury County line to North of SR 840  

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 8PM-5AM (excluding Saturday), There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions, from MM 53 to MM 59.5, for paving operations. At least one lane will remain open in each direction. There will also be temporary stoppages of traffic on SR 840 northbound.
Friday August 21, 8PM through Monday August 24, 5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 396 (Saturn Pkwy) in both directions, including the ramps to/from I-65 in order to clean and seal the joints on the ramps.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 248 for paving operations. Traffic will be flagged.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, SmartWay ITS I-65 (South of Nashville) Expansion Project

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on SR 840 in both directions, from MM 28 to MM 30, for bridge conduit installation.
Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on SR 106 and SR 840 in both directions, from MM 42 (US 31) to MM 35.5.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Interchange Lighting at I-40 and SR 171 (Mt Juliet Road)  

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-40 in both directions in order to install underground conduit, pull boxes, and pole foundations. All lanes will remain open.

 

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 109 from North of US 70 (SR 24/ Lebanon Road) to the Cumberland River Bridge

Thursday August 20 through Friday August 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 for installation of rumble strips.
Monday August 24 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 in order to stripe the roadway.

Tuesday August 25, 8PM-12Midnight, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound, between MM 80 and MM 82 (near the I-40/440 interchange), for bridge inspection. Two lanes will remain open.

 

Giles County

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26 8PM-6AM, There will be moving lane closures on I-65 in both directions, from the Tennessee-Alabama line (MM 0) to the Giles-Marshall County line (MM 22.42), for striping operations.

 

Hickman County

Thursday August 20, 7PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-40 at MM 151 in order to mill and pave the roadway.  Troopers will be utilized.

 

Maury County

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26 8PM-6AM, There will be moving lane closures on SR 6, from the ramp to Saturn Plan Road to the Maury-Williamson County line, for striping operations.

 

Williamson County

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26 8PM-6AM, There will be moving lane closures on SR 840 from the Pinewood Road interchange to the Columbia Pike interchange, for striping operations.

From now through Friday September 25, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekend), There will be lane closures on SR 1 (Murfreesboro Road) northbound, between Fesslers Lane and Fairfield Drive, for boring and potholing operations.

Monday August 24 and Tuesday August 25, 7PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on SR 6 (Franklin Pike) southbound, from Horner Avenue to just south of Kirkwood Ave, in order for Metro Water & Sewer to perform preliminary televising of sewer main for possible repair.

From now through Wednesday September 30, 8AM-6PM, There will be lane closures on SR 13, from McWhorter Road to east of Budds Creek Road in the Cunningham community, in order for Montgomery County Gas Authority to install 6” steel gas main.

 

Montgomery and Robertson Counties

From now through February 2016, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 76 eastbound, between Port Royal Road and Harmony Church Road in the city of Adams, in order for Cumberland Electric Membership Corp to place aerial cable at several locations.

City of Brentwood / Stansell Electric 

Thursday August 20 through Wednesday August 26, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 (Franklin Road), from South of Chadwick Drive to Executive Center Drive in Brentwood, to install signalization equipment.

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.  Information in this report is provided to the Department of Transportation by the contractors.  Most work is weather dependent and subject to change due to inclement weather.
