BEDFORD COUNTY, Reconstruction of US 231 (SR 10)

From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced from four (4) to two (2) lanes on US 231 (SR 10) in Shelbyville due to utility and grading operations. One lane will remain open in each direction with an added turning lane.

 

CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on I-40 over the Harpeth River

From now through July 2016, Anderson Road at the I-40 overpass will be closed. Detours are in place.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 41 (US 70S/SR 1/Murfreesboro Road) from Transit Avenue to Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on Murfreesboro Road so that milling work may begin.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on SR 45 (Old Hickory Blvd) over the Cumberland River

From now through November 2015, Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on SR 45 in Old Hickory due to bridge repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-40 at Charlotte Avenue, Johnston Avenue, Clinton Street, and Herman Street

From now through September 2015, 7AM-5PM, There will be a lane closure on 12th Avenue northbound, including the sidewalk and bike lane, to allow worker access to the median of I-40. 
From now through Monday August 17, There will be a lane closure on Jo Johnston Avenue eastbound, between 11th Avenue and George L Davis Blvd. The westbound lane will remain open. All lanes of Jo Johnston under I-40, between George L David Blvd and Frontage Road, will be closed for bridge repairs. Detours are in place.
Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures on I-40 in both directions, between Herman Street and Charlotte Avenue AND between Church Street and the I-40/I-65 split, to remove concrete barrier rail, re-pour the median wall, and allow concrete trucks to enter/exit the media work yard.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Pike

Thursday August 13, 9PM-12AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 northbound, from the I-24/I-65 split to Ewing Lane, in order to move a crane.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, On-Call Signing

Friday August 14 and Monday August 17, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-24 eastbound near MM 47.0 (Jefferson Street) in order to excavate and pour sign footing.

 

DAVIDSON AND RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, Nashville Smartway ITS I-24 Expansion Project

Thursday August 13  through Wednesday August 19, 9AM–3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closures on I-24 (approximately between MM 58 and Elam Road) and SR 840 (approximately between MM 48 and MM 57) for pole installation, electrical service work, fiber optic cabling installation, conduit installation/proving/repairs, and staging of overhead sign structures.

 

MACON COUNTY, Reconstruction of SR 10 from south of Goose Creek to SR 52

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 7AM-5PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 10 for clearing and grubbing operations, blasting operations, and utility relocation.

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Replacement on SR 237 over I-24 (Exit 8)

Saturday August 15, 7AM-12Noon, There will be a lane closure on I-24 westbound at MM 8.0 for bridge construction. One lane will remain open.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, Pavement Repair on I-65 from South of Honey Run Creek to North of Highland Road

Saturday August 15, 6AM-2PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions, from MM 114 to MM 117, to finalize project.

 

ROBERTSON AND SUMNER COUNTIES, SmartWay ITS I-65 (North of Nashville) Expansion Project

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be a shoulder closure on I-65 northbound at MM 93.6 for trenching, boring, and conduit installation.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of SR 268 (Compton Road) from US 231 (SR 10) to SR 96

Thursday August 13 through Sunday August 16, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 268 in both directions for milling operations in multi-lane sections.  One lane will remain open in each direction.
Monday August 17 through Wednesday August 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 268 in both directions for milling operations. Traffic will be flagged in two-lane sections.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 840 from near I-24 to West Fork Stone River Bridge

Look Ahead:

Friday August 21, 8PM through Monday August 24, 5AM, There will be lane closures on the SR 840 exit ramps to Smyrna and Murfreesboro (Exit 55A and Exit 55B) for concrete pavement repair work. Traffic will be shifted to the shoulder of the ramps. Only one ramp at a time will be affected.

 

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Resurfacing of I-24 from East of SR 840 to Stones River Bridge

Friday August 14 through Wednesday August 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions, from MM 74 to MM 79, for installation of thermoplastic pavement markings. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.
Friday August 14, 8PM through Monday August 17, 5AM, There will be lane closures on I-24 eastbound at the bridge over Overall Creek (approximately MM 75.5) and at the bridge over Stones River (approximately MM 79) in order to repair expansion joints.  At least two lanes will remain open.
Saturday August 15, 8AM-5PM, There will be temporary shoulder closures on I-24 westbound on-ramp from Medical Center Parkway (approximately MM 76) to allow adjustment to an existing catch basin in the gore area.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements on SR 258 (New Shackle Island Road) at Intersection of Stop Thirty Road and Old Shackle Island Road

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be a temporary, intermittent lane closure on New Shackle Road at Stop Thirty Road to allow trucks hauling material to enter the roadway. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Installation of Signals on US 31E (SR 6) at SR 25

From now through September 2015, SR 25 (Red River Road) southbound will be closed from Blythe Avenue to US 31E (SR 6) in Gallatin for intersection improvement work. Detours are in place.

 

SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 259 from US 31W (SR 41) to SR 52

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 259 for chip sealing and micro-surfacing operations.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from the Maury County line to North of SR 840  

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 8PM-5AM (excluding Saturday), There will be a lane closure on I-65 in both directions, from MM 53 to MM 59.5, for paving operations. At least one lane will remain open in each direction.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of SR 253 (Concord Rd) from Sunset Road to Nolensville Road

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be flagged during construction operations as needed.

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 840 to SR 248, Interchange Modifications and Widening on SR 248 from Lewisburg Pike to west of I-65

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 1PM, There will be rolling roadblocks in both directions between MM 61 and MM 63 for blasting.

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 9PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on SR 840 in both directions, from MM 28 to MM 30, for bridge conduit installation.

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 9PM-5AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 southbound at MM 76 for trenching, boring, and conduit installation.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 109 from North of US 70 (SR 24/ Lebanon Road) to the Cumberland River Bridge

Thursday August 13 through Friday August 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 for installation of rumble strips.
Wednesday August 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 109 for striping the roadway.

Thursday August 13, 8PM-1AM, There will lane closures on I-24 westbound, between MM 57 (Haywood Lane) and MM 59 (Bell Road), for bridge repair. Two lanes will remain open.

 

Giles County

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be moving lane closures on SR 15, from the bridges over Indian Creek (LM 9.77) to Center Point/Beech Hill Roads (LM 17.76), for striping operations.

 

Lawrence County

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be moving lane closures on SR 15, from Scenic Road (LM 3.20) to the Lawrence-Giles County line (LM 13.86) for striping operations.

 

Marshall County

Thursday August 13, 9AM-6PM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 northbound at MM 27 to repair a pothole and damage. One lane will be open at all times.

 

Sumner County

Thursday August 13, 8PM-6AM, There will be a lane closure on I-65 northbound at MM 100 and MM 102 for milling and paving operations.

From now through Friday August 28, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekend), There will be lane closures on SR 24 (Broadway) near the intersection of 6th Ave S to install a vault and connect to existing NES conduit.

From now through Wednesday September 30, 8AM-6PM, There will be lane closures on SR 13, from McWhorter Road to east of Budds Creek Road in the Cunningham community, in order for Montgomery County Gas Authority to install 6” steel gas main.

 

Montgomery and Robertson Counties

From now through February 2016, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on SR 76 eastbound, between Port Royal Road and Harmony Church Road in the city of Adams, in order for Cumberland Electric Membership Corp to place aerial cable at several locations.

 

Miscellaneous Non-TDOT Projects

Metro Public Works / Harding Place Pedestrian Network 

Sunday August 16, 8pm-6am, There will be lane closures on Harding Place eastbound in order to restripe the roadway and shift traffic from Seven Mile Creek to Recovery Road.
Monday August 17 through Tuesday August 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on Harding Place eastbound in order to install barrier rail and barrels. Temporary stoppages of eastbound traffic during the installation are expected.

 

City of Brentwood / Stansell Electric 

Thursday August 13 through Wednesday August 19, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 (Franklin Road), from South of Chadwick Drive to Executive Center Drive in Brentwood, to install signalization equipment.

 

Brentwood Water Services 

Thursday August 13, 7PM, SR 6 (Franklin Road) will be CLOSED at the intersection of Longstreet Drive in order to repair a water main. Detours will be in place.

 

K.S. Ware & Associates 

Wednesday August 12, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closure on SR 106 (Hillsboro Road) near Old Hillsboro Road in order to perform geotechnical survey work.  Traffic will be flagged.
