Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 8, I-75 North will be reduced to two narrowed lanes across the bridge over Merchants Drive (Exit 108) as crews perform bridge repairs.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation has awarded an emergency contract to repair a landslide on State Route 66 in Hawkins County. The slide occurred between New Life Road and Clinch Valley Road on Sunday, February 24.
The contract includes the building of a large rock buttress and soil nails to stabilize the slope. This repair project is scheduled to be complete on or before August 15, 2019.
Drivers should plan ahead for delays along the I-440 corridor as the first phase of heavy construction gets underway. Lane restrictions will be in place along all seven miles of I-440 in the coming weeks through August 2020.

After three days of clearing and surveying an active landslide on I-24 East in northwest Davidson County, TDOT anticipates being able to safely reopen both travel lanes on Friday, March 15.
TDOT crews have a long-term closure in place on Interstate 24 East at mile marker 42 in northwest Davidson County, where a landslide occurred at approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 23.
A section of Highway 70N in Hawkins County is closed indefinitely due to a major slide that occurred early Thursday morning. The slide, which happened between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on February 21, 2019, claimed the life of one motorist and injured one other.
