The responsibilities of the Regional Geodetics Offices include:

Assist on Project Teams as part of the Project Delivery Network(PDN) by providing input at all applicable project milestones and producing geodetic deliverables within the project's scope, schedule, and budget.
Accurately collect and process survey data to produce quality geodetic deliverables that include existing features, topography, utilities, property lines, drainage areas, 3D models, and other information needed to deliver transportation projects.
Establish and maintain regional, corridor and project level control networks.
Provide quality assurance on all geodetic data supplied to internal and external customers and verify deliverables are consistent with TDOT requirements.
Develop legal descriptions for property acquisition for excess land sales and regional transportation projects.
Implement emerging technologies that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, reliability, and safety.
