Community Services

Some of the most important and impactful services offerred in the state of Tennessee are those lead by community coalitions and prevention groups like the ones you see here. With their support, the Dangerous Drugs Task Force has been able to take on new challenges created by drug activity using methods and services provided by everyday citizens like you.

Anti-Drug Coalitions

Tennessee is home to multiple anti-drug coalitions all doing their part to bring an end to the crisis that has plagued Tennessee for so many years. Coalition outreach programs include life-saving Narcan training and overdose response supplies, education programs, and rehabilitation efforts designed to help former addicts.

TBI Citizens' Academy

The TBI Citizens' Academy is a great way to learn more about what the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the services it offers the state of Tennessee. Attendees will learn about the investigative process as well as receive hands-on training with firearms, all while getting a preview of what it's like to be a TBI Special Agent.

Pill Take Back

For nearly 20 years, the national Pill Take Back program has been successful in removing tons and tons of unused and expired prescription drugs from the homes of Tennesseans. This ensures that home medicine cabinets don’t remain unnecessarily stocked with medications that could be taken by someone they were not prescribed to - a dangerous trend known as prescription drug diversion. The TDDTF plays a vital role in the PTB efforts in Tennessee, providing storage, transportation, and destruction services for pills collected across the Volunteer State.
