Nameless Volunteer Fire Department PPE

The Nameless, TN, Volunteer Firefighter Department (VFD) won a Volunteer Firefighter Equipment and Training (VFEAT) grant that provided a much-needed opportunity to offset the cost of repairing their apparatus. Nameless VFD, like many across the state, was faced with deciding whether to purchase PPE or repair their apparatus. The need was equal, making the decision impossible. The receipt of a VFEAT award in 2020 provided the funding for safe PPE and provided a higher level of protection for their firefighters, while also allowing for funding to be redirected to the apparatus repair.
