Hawkins County Rescue Squad Personal Protective Equipment

In 2023, Hawkins County Rescue Squad won a Rescue Squad Grant Program award of $40,648 that allowed its team to purchase much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE). The county used the funding to purchase 20 sets of extrication gear, including: jackets, pants, suspenders, helmets, boots, and rescue gloves. The new PPE provides a higher level of protection to Hawkins County Rescue Squad members when responding to incidents.
