NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Human Resources (DOHR) launched an upgraded careers website that helps applicants more easily find and apply for jobs with Tennessee State Government.

The redesigned website puts the applicant experience front and center. Previously, users struggled to search for and discover jobs, had to navigate multiple sites during the application process, and encountered policy-heavy content instead of clear candidate guidance.

To address these challenges, DOHR implemented several key improvements, including:

  • Retiring job alerts and replacing them with a new Saved Search feature, allowing applicants to set personalized search criteria and receive updates matching their interests
  • Providing better browse paths by career area, location, and audience
  • Improving the “job_search” map for easier navigation and clearer results
  • Ensuring applicants will not need a new account and their current Edison login credentials will continue working
  • Broadcasting jobs to external sources, including LinkedIn and Indeed
  • Providing applicant experience surveys after a candidate uses the search tool
  • Supplying faster answers on processes, benefits, and support

“DOHR is at the forefront of innovation, and the Careers site upgrade is an important step in attracting top talent to Tennessee State Government,” said Juan Williams, Commissioner of the Department of Human Resources. “With a clean user interface, applicants will have the opportunity to apply in a fraction of the time they previously did. We cannot wait to see where this leads for Tennessee State Government.”
