In Tennessee, the onboarding process to exchange data with the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) begins when a potential trading partner registers with TDH, expressing their intent to exchange data electronically.
The Trading Partner Registration (TPR) system allows potential trading partners to register for Immunization Messaging, Cancer Case Reporting, Electronic Laboratory Reporting (ELR), and Syndromic Surveillance Messaging (eligible hospitals w/emergency room) in one location. TPR provides documentation that can be utilized to demonstrate active engagement with public health and allows users to view their progress from start to finish through the use of milestone letters documenting onboarding progress.
Also displayed within the TPR organizational profiles are requests for action. Potential trading partners are expected to provide valid responses to requests for action in order to move the trading partner into production status. TDH reserves the right to discontinue onboarding activities with any trading partner, at any time, in the event of consistent problems associated with TDH reporting requirements and/or meeting file specifications in accordance with published national standards.
