EnergyRight Solutions for Business + Industry program
In collaboration with the Tennessee Valley Authority’s EnergyRight School Uplift Program (SUP), EESI offers energy efficiency training and grants that reduce energy cost and improve the classroom learning environment. Behavior-Based SEM focuses on changing the behaviors and practices of school faculty, staff, and students to achieve energy savings. This approach emphasizes no- and low-cost operational and maintenance improvements rather than capital investments. Since inception (FY2021), a total of 154 Tennessee schools participated in the SUP saving an average of 9.5% on their annual energy cost. Additionally, EESI has provided $2,190,000 in building energy upgrade grants to 9 public schools in Tennessee.
