When can I apply?
Trevecca’s application website will go live this fall.
What will the application require?
The application consists of an essay prompt and two letters of recommendation from current and/or former administrators. You will also be required to provide your teaching license number.
When does the program begin?
The first cohort begins July 1, 2026.
How much of a time commitment is the program?
The program is 12 weeks long. Participants should dedicate 5-7 hours each week to complete assignments.
What is the format of the program?
The program is entirely online.
What is the outcome of the program?
Participants will earn 90 Professional Development (PD) hours and earn a certificate for completing the program.
Who is eligible to apply for the program?
All licensed Tennessee teachers are encouraged to apply. In future years, we hope to expand the program to Educational Assistants, school counselors, School Resource Officers (SROs), substitute teachers, Mother’s Day Out teachers, and more.
What is the cost of this program?
The program is completely free to teachers. The Department of Disability and Aging has issued a grant to Trevecca Nazarene University to create and implement the ABS program.
