PIKEVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Correction along with Assistant Commissioner David Sexton has invited local leaders from Pikeville and Bledsoe County to visit the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex (BCCX) to officially meet newly appointed warden Kevin Hampton.

KNOXVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Correction’s Day Reporting Center (DRC) in Knoxville will be holding a graduation ceremony to honor the ten clients who have successfully completed the program. Throughout the last ten months, these graduates have successfully completed all three phases of the intensive, substance abuse treatment program and maintained their sobriety.

NASHVILLE – On Wednesday, May 23, 2018 the Tennessee Board of Parole will have a clemency hearing at the Tennessee Prison for Women.

MURFREESBORO – In an effort to assist the offender population of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County, the Murfreesboro Day Reporting and Community Resource Center (DRC/CRC) will be holding a career fair on Friday, May 25th.

NASHVILLE – On Monday, April 30, 2018, Tennessee Department of Correction Commissioner Tony Parker and Chief Interdiction Officer Lee Dotson will be participating in a working group focused on combatting prison cell phone use.

NASHVILLE – Earlier today, eleven women from Tennessee Prison for Women graduated from the Building Entrepreneurs for Success in Tennessee (BEST) Program.

MEMPHIS – During the past week officers from the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) have completed additional, unannounced home visits on hundreds of sex offenders under community supervision.

HENNING – Last year the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) announced a partnership with several agencies in the fight against contraband. On March 22nd TDOC, the United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced the Honor the Oath campaign, the next phase in contraband interdiction efforts.

NASHVILLE - On Thursday, March 15, the Tennessee Department of Correction will host a grand opening for the Nashville-area Day Reporting and Community Resource Center (DRC/CRC).

MOUNTAIN CITY – This afternoon, ten Correctional Officers at the Northeast Correctional Complex (NECX) received their Correctional Behavioral Health Certification (CBHC) from the American Correctional Association (ACA). This national recognized certification training is designed to ensure correctional staff is more knowledgeable and better prepared to interact with offenders who exhibit behavioral health issues.
