The Academic Supply and Occupational Demand report highlights the connections between degrees that are being produced in Tennessee and the jobs that are available in the state.
This report is prepared pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-4-708(e), which instructs the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) and the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) to report annually on the impacts of the Tennessee Promise program.
The Chairs of Excellence program began in the midst of the education reform and improvement measures passed by the General Assembly in the mid-1980s. This program brings eminent scholars to Tennessee public institutions and attracts research initiatives and private funding to our state. The program has resulted in an unprecedented level of donations to higher education from private and corporate sources.
This report is prepared pursuant to T.C.A. §49-4-903(b), which directs THEC to: “...provide assistance to the general assembly and to TSAC by researching and analyzing data concerning the scholarship and grant programs created underthispart, including, but not limited to, student success and scholarship retention.”
The Labor Education Alignment Program (LEAP) was established in 2013 through legislation to address the growing disparity between workforce needs and the supply of qualified workers in Tennessee.
The 2020 Tennessee Reconnect Annual Report highlights findings from year one of Tennessee’s adult Promise program. This report is divided into four sections: (1) Tennessee Reconnect Applicants (2) Tennessee Reconnect Recipients (3) Tennessee Reconnect Outcomes, and (4) Program Finances.
