Provides an overview of THEC master planning activity since the adoption of the 2000-05 Master Plan for Higher Education in Tennessee.
Higher education profiles of each of Tennessee's 95 counties, which include information on educational attainment by county, college-going rates, FAFSA submission rates, and county-by-county Drive to 55 goals. The profiles also include a list of the higher education services provided in each county.
Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 49-7-210, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission shall produce each year a Fact Book to address the topics of access, efficiency, productivity, and quality in public higher education.
Profiles and Trends in Higher Education
This report presents data and analyses on five broad policy areas important to the state: 1) State context of higher education, 2) Student preparation, 3) Student participation, 4) Student progression, and 5) State higher education finance.
Supply and Demand Report
This report is the result of collaboration between THEC, the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, and the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Using data from 2006-2014, this report presents projections of degrees to be awarded from public, private, and proprietary institutions in Tennessee through the year 2025.
TN Promise Annual Report
This report is prepared pursuant to T.C.A. § 49-4-708(e), which instructs the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) and the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) to report annually on the impacts of the Tennessee Promise program.
Authorized Institutions and Data
The Division of Postsecondary State Authorization (DPSA)'s purpose of this report is to take a snapshot of institutional enrollment, completion and placement performance over a reporting fiscal year.
Drive to 55 Snapshot
Tracking Tennessee's progress toward the Drive to 55 is an important tool in ensuring the state reaches the goal. The Drive to 55 Snapshot breaks down the different indicators that demonstrate the state's progress toward the goal of 55 percent of Tennesseans with a degree or credential by 2025. THEC will update the Drive to 55 Snapshot at least annually as new information becomes available on each indicator.
TN Hope Scholarship Program
The Tennessee HOPE Scholarship Program provides scholarship and grant assistance to Tennesseans attending eligible Tennessee postsecondary institutions. The purpose of the program is to provide access for Tennesseans to post-secondary education, to improve high school and collegiate academic achievement, to keep more of the best and brightest students in Tennessee, and to provide social and economic benefits to the state of Tennessee.
