Plan of Action Reports

The following links display the Plan of Action (POA) reports for all Scour Critical and Unknown Foundation Bridges in Tennessee. The list is organized by the County within which each bridge is located. Scour is defined as: Erosion of streambed or bank material due to flowing water; often considered as being localized around piers and abutments of bridges. A Scour Critical Bridge is defined as: A bridge with a foundation element that has been determined to be unstable for the observed or evaluated scour condition. Bridges for which the foundation details are not known are conservatively treated as if they are Scour Critical and are also included in these reports. These POA reports are designed to be used by inspection and maintenance personnel who check bridges for scour activity during flood events.
