Transit Funding Opportunities
TDOT provides a variety of funding opportunities for public transit agencies throughout the year. Below is a list of active and upcoming opportunities.
TDOT is conducting a Call for Projects to award residual FTA Section 5303 Metropolitan Planning funds to eligible Metropolitan Planning Organizations for transit-related planning projects. Entities interested in applying for these funds can determine eligibility by reviewing the Fact Sheet. All project proposals must be submitted via the online Application Form. Applications are due by 11:59pm on Friday, May 8, 2026.
