Bridge Inspection Operations to Close Lanes and Ramps on I-40 and I-440

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will conduct lane closures on Interstate 40 and Interstate 440 in Davidson County.

On Saturday, February 28, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., the following closures will take place for routine bridge inspection:

·         A closure of lane 2 on the I-440 westbound ramp to I-40 westbound.

·         Intermittent lane closures on I-40 in both directions at mm 205.

All work is weather-dependent. As always, drivers are reminded to allow additional time, slow down, and move over when traveling through a work zone. The Move Over Law was passed in 2006. The penalty for violating the law in Tennessee includes the possibility of up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of $500.
