Bridge Inspection Operations to Close Lanes on I-24

Nashville, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will conduct lane closures on Interstate 24 in Davidson County.

On Saturday, October 25, from 6 a.m. until 12 p.m., crews will conduct alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound near mile marker 52 over Murfreesboro Pike (SR 1/US 41).

On Sunday, October 26, from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m., crews will conduct alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 49 to 50 near the Silliman Evans Bridge. These closures are necessary for routine bridge inspection.

All work is weather-dependent. As always, drivers are reminded to allow additional time, slow down, and move over when traveling through a work zone. The Move Over Law was passed in 2006. The penalty for violating the law in Tennessee includes the possibility of up to 30 days in jail and a maximum fine of $500.
