Beginning Monday, August 3, 2020, TDOT contract crews will close Burton Road at SR 109 for reconstruction as part of the SR 109 widening project between US 70 and the Cumberland River.

Beginning Saturday, July 25, 2020, at 7:00 a.m. EDT, TDOT contract crews will close the existing off-ramp from U.S. 27 North to West 4th Street as part of the U.S. 27 reconstruction project in downtown Chattanooga. This closure is necessary for the construction of a new exit ramp. A detour will be in place until mid-September 2020.
Beginning Monday, July 20, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. EDT, TDOT contract crews will close the existing on ramp from West MLK Boulevard to US 27 North as part of the US 27 reconstruction project in downtown Chattanooga. The ramp closure and signed detour will remain in place until new ramp construction is completed later this year.

On Monday, July 13, 2020, and Tuesday, July 14, 2020, between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. EDT, TDOT contract crews will begin work to implement a new traffic pattern on I-75 North as part of the I-75/I-24 interchange modification project in Chattanooga. The shift will impact motorists traveling from Georgia and from the Tennessee Welcome Center and Exit 1 (East Ridge). The new traffic pattern will be in place by Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
TDOT will conduct quarterly testing and maintenance on the Market Street Bridge in downtown Chattanooga on Sunday, July 12, 2020. From 8:00 a.m. EDT to no later than 2:00 p.m. EDT, the bridge will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic as the testing is performed.
