NASHVILLE., Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be reducing US 41A/SR 16 in Bedford County to one lane to repair the culvert and slope at Dryland Creek.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be closing one lane of US 70S/SR 1/Harding Pike West to repair the bridge over Sugartree Creek Monday night, May 23. Jamison Construction LLC crews will be repairing the wingwall at the northeast corner of the bridge and replacing the sidewalk. They will also place rock on the bank of the creek to prevent future erosion. The lane closure will impact the area of the bridge (beginning just west of the Kroger entrance and ending at Lynnwood Ter/Hillwood Blvd) between Hillwood Road and White Bridge Pike. It will remain in place while work is being done through the contracted completion of June 30. Under normal conditions, this area often becomes heavily congested during rush hour, and congestion is expected to increase significantly because of the scheduled work. Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time or avoid the area completely if possible. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be conducting a double lane closure on I-24 in both directions this weekend over Mill Creek for construction.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation is teaming up with the City of Memphis, Shelby County, Memphis City Beautiful, Clean Memphis, and Keep Tennessee Beautiful for a series of litter clean-up events at several highly visible interchanges along interstates in Memphis. Over 200 volunteers will assist in the clean-up.

Repairs to the I-40 Sparta Pike overpass are scheduled to begin on May 15. An emergency contract was awarded on April 15 and work is expected to be completed by July 15, 2022, just in time for the Tennessee State Fair at the nearby Wilson County Fairgrounds.
