TDOT Summer Internship Program

TDOT offers a paid internship program to introduce college students to the importance of transportation and civil service.  We offer summer internships in the areas of aeronautics, business administration, civil engineering, construction management, environmental science, and urban planning & development. The program lasts approximately 12 weeks and runs from May to August.    

The 2026 summer internship application is LIVE and will close on April 17th, 2026.

Internship Minimum Requirements

Rising Junior, or senior, college class status as of May 2025 OR  graduate students. Registration to a bachelor's, or graduate degree program required.  

Recent graduates who completed a  bachelor's degree or graduate degree no more than 12 months prior.

Authorization to work in the United States.
