Trojan Park Trail Projects

The Town of Troy, located in Obion County, constructed a new, 2,640 ft. long ADA-compliant porous pavement pathway located at Trojan Park in 2020. Approximately 4,752 Tennessee scrap tires were collected and diverted from landfills and used in the construction of this half-mile paved trail.
Additionally, Trojan Park received a Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant to create the Troy Trojan Park Fitness Trail. Improvements to the Troy Trojan Park Fitness Trail included widening the walking track and necessary site work such as grading, drainage, and bank stabilization. Other improvements included an outdoor fitness cluster, and other trail amenities.
As the park is centrally located, it hosts a community center, several athletic facilities, and playgrounds. With frequent community visitation and lights (for night use) available on the current trail, it has been a visible project in West Tennessee.
