Sweetwater Train Car Restoration

The Sweetwater Train Car used funding from a Tennessee Department of Tourist Development (TDTD) Tourism Enhancement Grant in 2023 to allow tourist access inside of the structure, install safety improvements, stop leaks, and add an ADA lift. Inside the train car, the history of the City of Sweetwater is told via a video of oral histories. The train car also offers free Wi-Fi inside the facility to enable a public workspace.
