Metro Lynchburg Park in Moore County

Despite being one of the smallest counties in Tennessee, Moore County offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation. The county is also home to many residents that are actively involved in building a healthy environment in their community, including the members of the Moore County Health Council. The council prioritizes efforts to combat obesity, increase physical activity, and improve overall health.
This group, along with dedicated partners from the mayor’s office and other community supporters, has advocated for the continued development of the Metro Lynchburg Moore County Park. In 2017 and 2019, the community used grant funding to develop a new play area at the park and add sidewalks. The park is one of the county’s many assets and exemplifies the active support of its citizens.
