Joint Industrial Development Board of Celina and Clay County

The City of Celina received an Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) grant to upgrade the existing wastewater trunkline, which carries the city’s waste to the treatment plant. The renovation to the 5,600 feet pipeline increases the available capacity by 73%, significantly decreasing overflows. These improvements will enable the city to end its moratorium on wastewater expansion and make the city more marketable for industrial development. The industrial development board has also been awarded two Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Site Development Grants to construct a large building pad, improving the prospects of a future industrial project.
