Edgefield Prime Meat Company

Edgefield Farms, a high-quality beef production company, expanded to Morgan and Fentress counties due to high demand from national processors. Recognizing consumer preferences for local, grass-fed, and antibiotic-free products, Edgefield Farms developed Edgefield Prime Meat Company and acquired a USDA-certified meat processing plant in Bledsoe County, benefiting local livestock farmers. In partnership with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, the company received grant funding to expand capacity, generating more revenue for Edgefield Farms and regional farmers, doubling full-time jobs, boosting sales tax revenues, and fostering a self-sustaining agricultural community.
