Carroll County Shooting Sports Park

Carroll County, with support from various community partners, established the Carroll County Shooting Sports Park (CCSSP) on 72 acres, featuring trap fields, skeet fields, shotgun stations, archery, rifle and pistol ranges, and more. A public-private partnership, including a non-profit organization, ensured effective management, successful events, and access to resources.
Since its opening in 2013, CCSSP has hosted numerous corporate outings, league shooting events, and state and regional tournaments. To further enhance the visitor experience and expand tournament hosting capabilities, Carroll County used a Tourism Enhancement Grant in 2016. This grant facilitated the addition of shooting and visitor amenities, including pavilions, range improvements, an award stand, a second pistol shooting range, and a Chamber Welcome House. These improvements have increased the number of events hosted at CCSSP, including the Tennessee Farm Bureau Shooting Hunger event in 2017, which attracted 250 shooters and 400 attendees, exceeding its goal of providing 200,000 meals for those in need.
