Ben Lomand Connect - Coffee County

In 2017, Coffee County and Ben Lomand Rural Telephone Cooperative officials developed plans to extend broadband fiber service to Pocahontas, TN. This “Fiber to the Premise” network serves over 20 square miles and 1,500+ people that did not previously have adequate broadband access.
Ben Lomand and Coffee County partnered with federal and state partners, including the USDA Rural Development office and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD), to fund the project. Access to broadband provides Pocahontas residents with a wider variety of economic, healthcare, and educational opportunities.
