Nashville, TN – Throughout April, the Tennessee Department of Education invites Tennesseans to celebrate Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month, proclaimed by Governor Bill Lee. All month long, the department will highlight meaningful math gains due to Tennessee’s ongoing commitment to K-12 mathematics education and launch key initiatives: the Math Implementation Network and the state’s new mascot, Marty the Mathematician.

NASHVILLE--Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions Commissioner Greg Gonzales announced today that the maximum effective formula rate of interest in Tennessee is 11.50 percent per annum. The rate is based on a ceiling of 4 percent over the weekly average prime loan rate of 7.50 percent as published by the Federal Reserve on March 31, 2025.
