SMYRNA, Tenn. – Sixteen National Guardsmen graduated from the Tennessee Army National Guard’s 10-month-long Officer Candidate School, led by the 117th Regional Training Institute, during a special ceremony held at Smyrna’s Volunteer Training Center, April 19.

Renovations of the boat ramp and dock at the Winchester City Park on Tims Ford Lake are nearing completion. Currently, the new sixty-foot-wide ramp is open for use. Placement of courtesy docks and bank armoring began the week of April 6 and is slated to be completed by May 1, 2026.
