MEMPHIS - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Janis Melissa Anderson pleading guilty Monday to sales tax fraud. Anderson is the owner of A&J Catfish Station, located at 5950 Knight Arnold Road Extended, in Memphis.

The Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Dyersburg, Union City, Trenton, Millington, Paris, Savannah and Jackson Driver Services Centers and 7 Driver Services partner locations will close next week for a one-day installation of new credentialing equipment and new self-service kiosks.
The Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Oakland Driver Services Center, located at 160 Beau Tisdale Drive, which closed for a planned remodel on Aug. 29, will reopen to the public on Tuesday, Oct. 1. In the refurbished full-service center, visitors will see new furniture, fresh paint, updated workstations, new credentialing equipment and new self-service kiosks.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Today, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee announced that the State of Tennessee will no longer move forward with plans to build a new psychiatric hospital on state-owned land at Moccasin Bend in Chattanooga. The decision is based on initial findings of an ongoing archeological review. This is the first archeological review that has been conducted since the Moccasin Bend Mental Health Institute was founded in 1961 and the State expects the final report to be delivered in November. The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS) and Department of General Services (DGS) oversaw the survey on behalf of the State Building Commission.
