  • Tennessee Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial Meeting

    January 9, 2026, from 9:00 am to TBD CST

    Tennessee Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial was created to plan, encourage, develop, and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, and recognize Tennessee's integral role in that event and the impact of its people on the nation's past, present, and future. This virtual public meeting will include members of the governing body who are participating by electronic means of communication. Individuals wishing to make public comment should either contact Nieya Wallace at nieya.wallace@tn.gov prior to the meeting or if you participate in the meeting by electronic means, you will be given an opportunity to speak at the conclusion of the meeting’s business. During that time, you will be asked to provide your name. All comments will be limited to 5 minutes.

  • Douglas Henry State Museum Commission Quarterly Meeting

    January 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to TBD CST

    The Douglas Henry State Museum Commission was created with a primary function to oversee the operations of the state museum. The Commission is also entrusted by statute with establishing the strategic direction of the museum, with an emphasis on the educational and cultural enrichment of the citizens of this state. As such, it is the mission of the Commission to work to ensure that the citizens of this state have access and exposure to the museum collections and special changing exhibits, and that current collections are preserved appropriately and exposed to the public. Further, it is the mission of the Commission to work to ensure that future acquisitions are made in a deliberate manner in support of the mission and goals of the museum, for the purpose of the educational and cultural enrichment of citizens of the state.
