Fair Housing Matters: The Conversation Continues

This year's conference includes thoughtful conversations on overcoming barriers to equitable and affordable housing. We will be discussing the importance of inclusion and diversity in housing, the potential effects of the loss of affordable housing, and tips on working with clients/tenants with disabilities. Back by popular demand is an expanded session on "Is it landlord/tenant or fair housing?" Register early to receive the discounted price.

 Sessions this year include

"The Complaint Process" which will feature a panel of experts to explain what happens when a complaint comes in to a fair housing advocacy office; and what happens if a complaint is filed with HUD or Tennessee Human Rights Commission.

"Hot Topics" A panel will examine current, recurring Fair Housing Issues.

"Landlord/Tenant or Fair Housing" this session is back by popular demand and will feature Rob Hill and Angelita Fisher, two outstanding attorneys who often represent landlords and property managers, and a fair housing advocate. The panel will discuss scenarios that are commonly dealt with in the housing arena.

Melody Fowler-Green, Executive Director of the Metro Human Relations Commission, will lead a session on diversity in housing, gentrification, and the shortage of affordable housing, and the intersection of these topics with fair housing.
