About this event
Join us at the Clement Railroad Hotel Museum – Hotel Halbrook State Historic Site for a special evening with author and historian Dr. Rachel Louise Martin as she discusses her acclaimed book, A Most Tolerant Little Town: The Explosive Beginning to School Desegregation. This powerful work uncovers the little-known story of one of the first school desegregation in the American South and the lasting impact it had on the community and the nation.
The event will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Clement Museum (100 Frank Clement Place, Dickson, TN 37055).
Admission is free, and copies of the book will be available for purchase to be signed by the author.
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore an important chapter in civil rights history and meet the author behind this compelling and timely work.
