About this event
Polk Academy is excited to announce a fun, new experience: Native American Culture Camp! Tennessee is home to many Native American Tribes, including the Cherokee, Chickasaw, and Shawnee. Campers will learn about the rich cultural heritage of Tennessean Native Americans with hands-on activities, storytelling, traditional music, crafts and more!
Polk Academy runs from 9am-2pm daily with drop off and pick up occuring at the Sister's House Visitor's Center. Campers should pack a water bottle and lunch daily, in addition to applying sunscreen, bug spray or any other needed products before camp. Snacks will be provided daily and campers should expect to be outside daily.
This camp is for rising 4th-10th grade students. Full refund available one month before camp, with partial refunds being available until two weeks prior to camp's start date. Contact Molly Bentzel at molly@jameskpolk.com with any questions.
