Join us on the grounds of the Polk Home for a fun day of gardening, cooking, activities and more. HIstorically, the Polk Home gardens would likely have housed chickens, herbs, vegetables for the household and, probably, an outhouse. Learn about what gardening looked like on the American frontier and even try your hand at some planting.
Our quarterly homeschool events are designed for all ages, with activity stations throughout the property, and guided tours of the home.
Homeschool Days are designed to be come & go events, with activities ongoing throughout the day. We recommend 1.5-2 hours for you to experience everything. These events are rain or shine, and in the event of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled.
