Join the Parkers Crossroads Battlefield Association this Saturday, May 31st at 10:00 am for John E. Talbott’s lecture, Families & Neighbors Divided in the American Civil War. The free program will take place at the Activities Building, 150 Federal Lane, South Battlefield Park

John E. Talbott, attorney, lecturer, author, and educator, a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University and the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, will speak on his journey of eight years transcribing the journal of William K. M. Breckenridge and the story of Breckenridge and the U.S. First West Tennessee Cavalry. Talbott used investigative techniques and researched issues and controversies about Fielding Hurst and his regiment. His research resulted in the writing of the book, “In The Shadow of the Devil."
