Regional Forensic Centers

Following a death investigation, a county medical examiner in some cases may order an autopsy. Autopsies ordered by county medical examiners are performed at one of five Regional Forensic Centers across the state by a board-certified forensic pathologist. All Regional Forensic Centers are accredited by the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME). Questions or concerns regarding a specific autopsy or report should be directed to the center responsible for the autopsy.
