Information from TN Dept of Health about the Ongoing Novel Coronavirus Outbreak

COVID-19 Medical Professional and Non-Medical Responders

The Tennessee Medical Reserve Corps is seeking volunteers to assist with local, regional, and potential national responses.

During this Pandemic, as the supply of vaccine increases, we will have more opportunities for you to help support our vaccination sites during weekday and occasional weekend events.

  • Responders signing up for medical support should currently be licensed and actively practicing in                       Tennessee, can use the Medical MRC sign-up tab below.
  • Responders with medical backgrounds who are interested in utilizing their medical skills to assist, but are         not currently licensed in Tennessee, should also register as part of the  Medical MRC, but will need to take      the additional step of registering under the PREP Act, which can be found at:                                                                   Important Health Licensing Information Regarding COVID-19
  • Responders signing up as non-medical, use the Non-Medical MRC sign-up below.

The MRC Coordinators are very busy at this time.  If you have not heard from anyone within several days of registration and you have questions for your Coordinator, please use this link, Public Health MRC Regions, to contact them.  You should choose the Coordinator to contact based on the county you volunteered in.

FAQ

Thank you for your interest in supporting the COVID-19 response! Medical and non-medical responders are needed for paid and volunteer positions.

The Tennessee Volunteer Mobilizer is a secure, confidential volunteer registry site maintained by the  Department of Health’s Emergency Preparedness program. During the registration process, you will be asked whether you are looking for a paid or volunteer position. Registering does not guarantee that you will be called upon, nor does it mean that you must participate if called.

If you are called to work or volunteer, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the specific commitment, responsibilities, and pay.

During the online registration process, you will be asked to enter information regarding the best way to contact you, any active licenses or certifications, and other relevant background data. All required information (notated by the red asterisk) must be completed within the application. Once registered, prior to your application being approved, your license (if applicable) will be verified through the Tennessee Health Related Board's website verification system, as well as, a background check.

Once your application is approved you will receive notification of your registration into the system and opportunities to support the COVID-19 response.

If you have already completed the registration process or wish to return to a registration which you've started but not completed, you can log in and update your profile.
