A Note from the Intern Advisor
The goal of the internship program at the State Capitol is to provide college students with an enriching work experience that promotes both citizenship and scholarship. Interns are assigned to work directly with the senior and support staff of each department inside the Governor’s Office.
Specific duties might consist of utilizing effective writing skills, researching current issues, assisting with and attending events, as well as various administrative activities within the departments.
The application process for the 2020 summer internship program is currently open.
By April 3, please submit an application, current resume and cover letter, two letters of recommendation, and your college transcript. Note that missing documents will render your application incomplete.
Internship positions are unpaid, and applicants are required to receive college credit through their academic institution. The summer session begins on May 27, 2020, and ends on August 7, 2020.
NOTE: Those applying for internships in the Office of the Governor must be rising college sophomores, juniors or seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
