A Note from the Intern Advisor
The goal of the internship program at the State Capitol is to provide college students with an enriching work experience that promotes both citizenship and scholarship. Interns are assigned to work directly with the senior and support staff of each individual department inside the Governor’s Office.
Specific duties might consist of utilizing effective writing skills, researching current issues, assisting with and attending events, as well as various administrative activities within the departments.
The application process for the 2019 fall internship program is currently open.
Internship positions are unpaid, and applicants are required to receive college credit through their academic institution. The fall session begins on September 4, 2019 and ends on December 6, 2019.
NOTE: Those applying for internships in the Office of the Governor must be rising college sophomores, juniors or seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
