6 Years Running - Tennessee Department of General Services Named a Top Workplace in Middle Tennessee
NASHVILLE, TN—The Tennessee Department of General Services has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2025 honor by The Tennessean. The announcement was made during the award ceremony held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Music City Center. This is the sixth year in a row that the department has received this honor.
This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees' feelings of being Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few.
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
"This Top Workplace award represents the exceptional culture and commitment of our team," said Jeff Holmes, Interim Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of General Services. "Achieving this recognition for the sixth consecutive year demonstrates the unwavering dedication of our employees who consistently go above and beyond in their service to the State of Tennessee and its citizens. I'm honored to work alongside such talented professionals who make our department a truly remarkable place to work."
