TDOC’s Citizens’ Correctional Academy Accepting Applications
NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) will begin accepting applications for the fall 2025 Citizens’ Correctional Academy on Tuesday, August 12. This six-week program is designed to give Tennesseans an in-depth look at the state’s largest law enforcement agency and the work of more than 5,000 correctional professionals.
Classes will be held Thursday evenings from September 25, 2025, through October 30, 2025, at various TDOC locations in Nashville. Participants will have the opportunity to tour three correctional facilities and learn about community supervision, rehabilitation, and reentry programs.
The application for Citizens’ Correctional Academy is available here and accepted until Friday, August 29, 2025.
