WARTBURG – This holiday season, the Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX) is helping to ensure that no child in the county goes without a present.

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) staff from across middle Tennessee visited several non-profit organizations from Tullahoma to Nashville this month to give back to the communities where they live and serve.

NASHVILLE – For the last two decades, state and local public safety officials, along with families of homicide victims, have gathered to honor and remember victims and survivors of homicide during the holiday season. This year will mark the state’s 20th annual “Tennessee Season to Remember”, which will be held 5:30 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, December 1 at First Baptist Church in downtown Nashville. TIPTONVILLE – More than one hundred men incarcerated at the Northwest Correctional Complex (NWCX) are preparing for their release from prison by learning what it takes to remain crime-free.

NASHVILLE – Probation Parole Officers (PPO) from the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) visited the Hart to Heart Daycare Learning Center in Nashville on Halloween to bring candy, goodies, and holiday cheer to some of Tennessee’s littlest residents.

WARTBURG – Eight inmates at the Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX) have been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) at Roane State Community College (RSCC).

JOHNSON CITY – The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is hosting a ‘One-Stop Re-Entry Shop’ for justice-involved individuals on October 10 in Johnson City.

CHATTANOOGA – The Tennessee Department of Correction Chattanooga Community Resource Center (CRC) is teaming up with Hamilton County based community partners, including Legal Aid, The Chattanooga Bar, and the American Job Center, to host a ‘One-Stop Re-Entry Shop’ for justice-involved individuals in Chattanooga.

MEMPHIS – The Mark Luttrell Transition Center (MLTC) will hold a rapid hiring event next Thursday and Friday to fill vacant correctional officer (CO) positions.

Mountain City – There’s a new Warden at the Northeast Correctional Complex (NECX) in Mountain City, TN. Brian Eller has been appointed to serve in the facility’s highest position.

Nashville – A visitor accused of smuggling drugs into a Tennessee Department of Correction facility will now face murder charges following the overdose death of an inmate.

Tiptonville – A new warden has been appointed at the Northwest Correctional Complex (NWCX) in Tiptonville. Sharon Rose has been appointed to lead the facility..

Nashville – The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) has received a $200,000 grant that will assist offenders expiring their sentence find stable housing upon release.

WARTBURG – A group of TDOC inmates successfully graduated from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT). During a ceremony held in their honor at the Morgan County Correctional Complex (MCCX), thirty-four incarcerated men received certificates of completion from TCAT-Oneida.

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is reminding survivors and victims of crime to enroll in the new, enhanced notification service before TDOC’s current system is deactivated.
